Watching the last few minutes of How Art Made the World on the ABC it suddenly struck me why the universe has led me down this teaching path. As George Miller explained how the sound effects worked in a particular scene from Lorenzo’s Oil, I realised how much, by teaching kids about storytelling, I will learn so much more about this art.

As practicing graphic design improved my photographic composition immeasurably, so this period in my life will ultimately make me a better storyteller.

There is a purpose to my life and this is another step on the windy road towards what may be.
